Save Money on College While Learning to Fly
We offer a career pathway that begins with attaining your Sport Pilot Instructor Rating. To learn more about getting your career off the ground, see our Sport Instructor page.
If you are looking for advance degree programs at a Cessna Pilot Center, we can help you with distance learning and college credit for certificates and ratings.
Cessna Aircraft Company and Mountain State University have teamed up to offer CPC students and flight instructors a 20% discount on Mountain State University tuition and fees in the aviation and online programs. This can add up to thousands of dollars in savings! So CPC students receive quality training in the industry’s most popular training aircraft — and they can save money on college while learning to fly.
Receive College Credit for FAA Certificates and Ratings
MSU offers college credit for those hard-earned FAA certificates and ratings. A student can earn up to 50 credit hours based on the FAA certificates. Here are some examples:
| Private Pilot | 6 Hours |
| Instrument Rating | 8 Hours |
| Commercial Pilot | 11 Hours |
| Multi-Engine Rating | 3 Hours |
| Flight Instructor | 8 Hours |
| Instrument Instructor | 4 Hours |
| Multi-Engine Instructor | 4 Hours |
| Airline Transport Pilot | 6 Hours |
Transfer Credits From Other Schools
Mountain State University accepts credits from other regionally accredited colleges and universities, so there is no need to repeat courses completed at other schools — and MSU does not charge to transfer credits. Plus, unlike other institutions, MSU does not charge for the credits earned through FAA certificates and ratings. This can save Mountain State University and CPC aviation students tens of thousands of dollars!
If you are a busy working adult and can't make it to campus, try MSU’s individualized study courses or online courses and learn at home!
